Welcome to Laurelled Services. I’m Katie, the heart behind our mission, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Laurelled Services was born from my passion to break down barriers and empower individuals. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s a calling. I believe in the transformative power of education and empowerment, and I aim to instill growth, connectedness, and autonomy in everyone we assist. The name “Laurelled” is inspired by the laurel wreath, a symbol of victory, honor, and achievement. Just as the laurel wreath has been used throughout history to celebrate success and excellence.

Karen – Support Coordinator

With over 15 years of dedicated service in the community sector, Karen (AKA Kaz) brings a wealth of experience and a creative approach to support coordination.

Having worked within the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) in NSW and as a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) with Advanced Personnel Management (APM), Kaz has honed her skills in navigating complex systems and identifying individuals’ needs.

For the past 5 years, Kaz has excelled as a Support Coordinator, leveraging her deep understanding of the sector to build capacity in participants’ understanding of the Scheme. Known for her innovative problem-solving and compassionate nature, Kaz is committed to creating tailored support plans that reflect everyone’s unique goals and aspirations.

Outside of work, Kaz enjoys exploring new creative outlets, whether it’s through art, travel sketching, or sewing. This creativity has long inspired her professional practice, emphasizing the importance of personal goals and activities, and ensuring that every participant receives a thoughtful and person-centred support.

Tracee – Support Coordinator

With over 30 years of experience in the human services field, Tracee Kepler has dedicated her career to supporting individuals facing mental health, relational, and physical challenges. Having moved to Hervey Bay 22 years ago, Tracee has worked within the local human services sector in various capacities, including Disabilities, Family and Youth, Disability Employment, Centrelink, and Mental Health. During this time, she has gained incredible knowledge and cultivated invaluable professional and personal connections within the community.

Over the past four years, Tracee has excelled and found her professional home as an NDIS Support Coordinator, helping participants navigate complex systems and access the supports and services they require to live fulfilling lives. Known for her exceptional advocacy skills and nurturing nature, Tracee is passionate about empowering others. She draws on her professional and lived experience to understand the challenges associated with mental health and physical impairments, enabling her to create empathetic, tailored supports and linkages for her participants within the local community.

Beyond her professional life, Tracee is a connoisseur of fashion and all things hair. She is an avid foodie, constantly exploring new cuisines and places of interest with friends. Her love for music, her kittens, and her friends and family shines through. Tracee’s diverse interests not only enrich her life but also fuel her creativity and innovation in her work. She believes that a well-rounded life is key to professional success and personal fulfillment.’

NDIS PLANNING AND SUPPORT COORDINATION

At Laurelled Services, our Level 2 NDIS Support Coordinators are dedicated to helping participants effectively implement their NDIS plans. We assist in interpreting the plan, connecting participants with a variety of services, and ensuring these supports are well-coordinated. Our goal is to increase participants’ capacity to maintain relationships, manage tasks, live more independently, and be included in their community. By building confidence and skills, our Support Coordinators empower participants to take control of their lives, not just their services. This comprehensive support is essential for those who require additional assistance to navigate and manage their NDIS plans effectively.

NDIS SOCIAL WORK SERVICES

At Laurelled Services, our NDIS Social Worker Services are designed to provide holistic and compassionate support to individuals navigating the complexities of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our skilled social workers address emotional, social, and practical challenges, ensuring that participants receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs. We assist in navigating complex systems, including legal, child safety, health, corrections, and other government services, to ensure seamless access to necessary supports. By fostering growth, development, and well-being, our social workers empower participants to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

SPECIALIST NDIS PLANNING AND SUPPORT COORDINATION

At Laurelled Services, our NDIS Specialist Support Coordinators are dedicated to assisting participants with complex needs in navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We provide a higher level of support coordination, managing challenges in the support environment and ensuring consistent transdisciplinary service delivery. Our experienced practitioners, with higher education, address complex barriers and collaborate with participants, family members, and carers to overcome obstacles to accessing and maintaining appropriate support services. Our skilled social workers offer Specialist Support Coordination, ensuring clients receive the highest level of care and expertise.
